Taye Newman, who recently completed his sophomore year at Anaheim Canyon High in California and representing Pacific Coast Shock Waves, won the boys 15-16 division 1,500-meter final in 4:03.40 at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Newman also finished fifth in the 15-16 division 3,000-meter final in 8:53.03.
